The Charity Commission has updated it's guidance on holding AGM's and other meetings online or via telephone. 

The guidance still states that while you are able to hold meetings online or via the phone you are advised to ensure that the decision is recorded with clear reasons why it cannot be held face to face.  This is all the more important because the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020, which permitted charitable companies and CIOs to hold AGMs and other members’ meetings online regardless of their governing documents, ended on 30 March 2021.


Cheshire East Council have annouced that there is a greater access to home testing.

Testing for COVID-19 is now seen as a vital tool in containing the virus, as around 1 in 3 people who have coronavirus show no symptoms but are still able to transmit the virus.

As well as local testing centres where you can book an appointment to attend for a test, there are now a range of ways you can get a test to take at home too, these are as follows:


The Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising have published new guidance on fundraising in the coronavirus environment.

Last Friday the government announced that public fundraising could resume from today (12th April), and this guidance is intended to help charities understand how to go about it responsibly.
