Cheshire East Council is offering grants that will support the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in the borough to respond to the needs of their beneficiaries through intervention, advice and support.

Applications for up to £10,000 will be considered from organisations for local projects, meeting local need and objectives stated below.

High Legh Parish Council is a forward-thinking and successful team who own several local assets and are actively focused on supporting the community in national discussions (such as HS2) and groups, local groups, and who drive several local projects and initiatives such as speed management and village appearance. The Clerk will be expected to administer these initiatives and help them to successful delivery.

Macclesfield Prince's/King's Trust team 48 have recently completed a team project based at SUSO based at The Heritage Centre in the heart of Macclesfield.

SUSO (Speak Up Speak Out) is a Macclesfield based charity that supports adults with learning disabilities and provides fantastic activities and support for all its members.

They asked for our support, and we hope you all agree the young people have done a fantastic Job. (please see attached photos)

NCFE Qualification Suicide Awareness Level 2

Starts Friday 8th November

This qualification is aimed at individuals who want to gain an understanding of suicide risk and how people might react when faced with a difficult situation or circumstance.  Learners will consider the impact of challenging situations on mood and behavior and how this can  lead to negative thoughts and feelings. This will provide an awareness of how suicidal thoughts can arise and identify those at potential risk of suicide.
