Voice of the Sector - Survey Results

One of CVS Cheshire East’s core aims is to Empower the Voice of the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS) locally.

We do this through gathering the collective voice of the VCFS on issues and working with the relevant organisation to represent the voice of the sector and endeavour to effect change.  We want to ensure that all VCFS organisations feel able and confident to raise their voice and want to understand how CVS can better support this to happen.

Writing a compelling volunteer ad

Spending a bit of time on this will pay off in the long run.

Here are some tips to help you write an opportunity description that appeals to the right volunteer for you:

• Keep sentences and paragraphs short. If it’s possible to cut a word out – cut it out

• Always give the most important information first.

• Don’t be too formal and avoid using jargon.

• Don’t CAPITALISE – it makes words much harder to read.

Spend a quality time as a family, have amazing fun, create fantastic memories and support your local community at the same time through some exciting volunteering activities. Join other families across Crewe and Macclesfield taking part in a family orientated fun-filled volunteering opportunities centred around local community events.

Please let us know which of the above events you and your family would be interested in participating in or if you would like CVS support in creating a volunteering day in your neighbourhood.
Data Protection - CVS Cheshire East will store your data and use this in the delivery of the Families Together project. The data will also be shared with Chester Voluntary Action, acting as lead for the project and Sport England, the funder of the project. We may also share your data with other voluntary organisations in securing volunteering opportunities. We will not share your data with any other organisations without your consent.
