Welcome to the wonderful world of small charity finance.

In this session, we will go back to first principles and revisit how to prepare a basic multi-project budget which builds financial sustainability.

Budgeting for sustainability in small charities can be challenging. Our business models and the operating environment often makes this difficult. However, there are things we can do to help us build our financial sustainability.

In this session we will revisit good budgeting principles and explore how budgeting well can contribute to our longer term financial sustainability. We revisit full cost recovery, full salary costing, inflationary increases and more.

We will look at:

· The benefits of budgeting and how it can build longer term sustainability

· How to prepare a simple multi project organisational budget

· The principle and practice of full cost recovery

· The limitations of full cost recovery and budgeting when building sustainability

What you can expect:

· Slides

· Examples

· Optional Q and A

This session will be of interest if…
