On the 12th October the Government announced that Cheshire East would be under the restrictions of the new Tier 2 - High Alert

There are 3 Alert levels; Medium, High and Very High - you can find more information here on all the levels

What Tier 2 means for your service

The full breakdown of restrictions and exemptions are here but in summary the following exemptions apply:

• for work, volunteering to provide voluntary or charitable services
• for registered childcare, education or training
• for supervised activities provided for children, including wraparound care (before and after school childcare), youth groups and activities, and children’s playgroups
• to provide care or assistance to someone vulnerable (this includes anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who, due to a lifelong condition, illness, disability, serious injury, a mental health condition or an addiction, cannot cope without their support)
• for outdoor exercise and dance classes, organised outdoor sport, and licensed outdoor physical activity
• indoor organised team sports for disabled people, and youth sport
• support groups of up to 15 participants – formally organised groups to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other form of support (not to take place in private dwellings)

These restrictions are the same as those that we have been following since the 24th September. 

CVS would ask VCFS organisations to consider if your support groups can meet remotely, if not then the guidance indicates that you can meet face to face with the followng restrictions and with all others including 2 meters and face coverings.  We know you are all considering sensible options and are very careful to safeguard the people that access your services.
