YMCA Crewe is a well-established provider of accommodation for people who have experienced homelessness. We have a 55 bed supported accommodation project in Gresty Road and other flats and houses in the area. We have a growing number of After School Clubs and parenting groups.

 

We are seeking to recruit a Community Development and Pastoral support Manager. This is an exciting time at YMCA Crewe, as we seek to grow and develop our services in line with the needs of the local community we serve. YMCA Crewe is currently undertaking an Options Appraisal to scope out our future journey for the next five years, therefore the Community Development and Pastoral Support Manager will have the opportunity to grow and develop services from the front of our Gresty Road building and reach out to people in a holistic and pastoral way. The role will be part of the management and expected to challenge and encourage the organisation to reach its full potential to serve the local community enabling people to Belong, Contribute and Thrive

 

This is a full time role (40 hours per week) including some evening and weekend work. The salary is £25,000 per annum.

The successful applicant will

 

·       Develop opportunities for community interaction and engagement in and around Crewe, specifically at YMCA Gresty Road building.

·       Represent YMCA Crewe locally and nationally

·       Develop and manage relationships across the public, business, faith and third sectors in line with the requirement of the role.

·       Provide and co-ordinate Chaplaincy/Pastoral support to Service Users, Community Groups, Staff and Volunteers
