Food for all is a project run from our church in Alderley Edge. Its very simple aim is to distribute food to people living in our local area who would otherwise be going hungry.
Alsager & District Foodbank provides emergency food and support to the local community of Alsager, Rode Heath, Oakhanger , Church Lawton and Scholar Green. We work with front line services using a referral system, to provide emergency food for people in times of crisis.
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK..
Serving Middlewich, Holmes Chapel and surrounding areas.
In October 2018 we opened the doors of our Community Pantry; our members’ only supermarket. Here we provide sustainable and affordable food and household items to those struggling to make ends meet. For just £3 per week, members are able to choose from a range of items up to the value of £15. We’re also on hand to offer trolley-loads of advice and support to those who need it.
During the Covid-19 crisis we foccused on getting food and essential supplies to those most in need in our community. We were able to hand out and deliver up to 300 parcels a week thanks to a fantastic team of volunteers.
The Community Food Pantry is a member-based scheme where members pay a small weekly subscription and in return they can choose good value food from a range including chilled goods, fresh and tinned products as well as a small range of household items.
Please do come along to see for yourself the fantastic variety of food on offer. You can join on the day.
