The Pixel Fund is a small charity which distributes grants to other charities in its field of interest. Its focus is the mental health and wellbeing of children and young adults.

Grant Making Trust


Only registered charities in the U.K. may apply whose primary objectives are to assist one or more of the following groups:

  • Disadvantaged/underprivileged young people (under 25 years of age)
  • People with disabilities (physical or learning disabilities) or mental health problems
  • Older people (aged over 60)

We do not respond to organisations who do not meet the above criteria.

General Grant

This award is funded by the Barbara Ward Children's Foundation, which is a small grant-making body that helps smaller, non-religious charities. Since its registration with the Charity Commission in December 2001 it has awarded grants of more than £8 million to more than 325 organisations.

The aim of the Foundation is to help small, non-religious charities to serve severely disadvantaged children anywhere in the world. In recent years, the Foundation has provided grants to organisations working on youth projects in the following categories:

Education.

Charitable Trust

The Anton Jurgens Charitable Trust (AJCT) gives grants to registered UK based charities who support people of all ages, who are socially disadvantaged and/or have mental and/or physical disabilities. 

 

Beatrice Laing Trust

The joint administration means that an application to the Beatrice Laing Trust is considered as an application to all Laing Trusts, with administrators and trustees deciding which Trust is most suitable for any grant offered.

Stuart Halbert Foundation

The Foundation supports causes within four broad categories. These being:

  • People
  • Animal welfare
  • Armed forces
  • Local community  (defined by the Foundation as Tynedale Valley and beyond).

They state that these grant priorities may change on an annual basis and whilst it appears they have not changed for a number of years it is worth checking their guidelines to ensure this is still the case.

Capital Grants

Help The Homeless provides grants to small to medium registered charities wanting help with projects focusing on helping the homeless return to mainstream society. Organisations reaching out for help from the charity may run small to medium sized projects, or residential/ training facilities that focus on helping the homeless rebuild their lives.

General Grant

The Ulverscroft Foundation is a UK based charity supporting visually impaired people. The Foundation supplies grants to organisations looking for help with projects relating to improving the quality of life of visually impaired people.

Funding is mainly given to organisations directly helping the visually impaired, such as libraries, schools, colleges and hospitals.

Any organisation applying is only able to submit one application every 18 months regardless of the outcome of the application.

Applications for this programme are accepted from charities throughout the United Kingdom.

The Trustees wish to support sporting activity or projects which provide opportunities for people who are disabled or otherwise disadvantaged to fulfil their potential and to develop other personal and life skills. We will consider applications for capital, revenue or project funding.
