The You, Me & Tea' project provides older people with memory loss, dementia or a hearing loss and their carers the opportunity to socialise and participate in activities such as arts and crafts and reminiscence therapy in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.

Days and Times for the Opportunity: Monday AM, Tuesday AM

Supporting older people with memory loss, dementia an/or hearing loss to socialise and participate in activities such as art and crafts, and reminiscence therapy:
- Helping to create a safe, supportive and welcoming and fun environment
- Setting up activities and tidying away at the end of the session
- Assisting with making and serving drinks and snacks.
No specific qualifications or experience are required but the role would suit someone who enjoys working with people and is patient, caring and reliable.

Some knowledge of hearing loss and/or dementia would be an advantage but is not essential as training and support will be given.

BSL Level 1 an advantage but not a requirement

Skills and Qualifications Required:

No particular skills or qualifications are required just a caring and patient approach and friendly and reliable personality with and interest in supporting older people. Some knowledge of BSL would be an advantage but not essential. A full driving licence and regular access to a car is desirable but not essential.
