An opportunity to use your existing skills by joining us a Volunteer Regular Booking Secretary so that everything runs smoothly at the Hall, for the benefit of the local community, maximising our potential revenue so that this is ploughed back in better facilities.
This unpaid volunteer role is part of a combined role with another Booking Secretary who looks after the One-off Bookings, and so the ability to work as part of a team is important, as are good communication and computer literacy skills, along with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
It is not expected that evening or weekend work will be required, but you will need a good sense of humour, good customer care skills, and enthusiasm for this every changing role and its varying enquiries, and the various challenges this role brings, ensuring that maximum revenue is achieved.
We are currently updating our website and re- designing our booking systems, and terms and conditions to simplify the earlier processes that had to be followed hopefully streamlining this role.
The two booking secretaries are expected to work together keeping each other updated, and cover for each other at holiday times or during sickness.
There may be occasions when prospective hirers ask to be shown around our facilities to select the most suitable meeting space for their requirements, but only at a convenient time for you, the Hall, and the prospective hirer.
