In partnership with Cheshire East Council Youth Services, the Town Council is setting up a Youth Club for young people in Sandbach aged between 12 and 16 on a Tuesday Evening in the Town Centre.
This is initially a 12 month pilot with a view to running the Youth Club permanently, based on take up and Council approval. We are looking for one Lead Youth Worker for 6 hours per week with relevant experience and Level 3 in Youth Work, and 3 Support Workers for 3 hours per week ideally with youth work experience. Training will be provided for all staff on appointment, and there may also be opportunities to study for the Level 3 qualification for those who wish to progress in this field. We are currently planning to launch the Youth Club in October, subject to recruitment.
The Town Council is very excited about this new venture for young people in Sandbach so please contact Ceri Lloyd, Chief Officer for an informal chat if you are interested, and require any further information. Phone 0800 600800 / email ChiefOfficer@sandbach.gov.uk. Application form attached.
