NWAS Community Engagement Event - Tuesday 18 October 2022, 10am until 1pm at Northwich Memorial Court, Northwich CW9 5QJ (Free of charge to attend)
Join a community conversation with North West Ambulance ServicePeople living and working in Cheshire are invited by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to share their views and experiences of our 999 emergency ambulance service and NHS 111 as part of a conversation with the community.
Whether you’re an interested member of the public, NHS professional, carer, patient, or healthcare champion, we want to listen to and learn from you. We are hosting a series of events across the five counties of the North West (Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cumbria and Lancashire) to get input from people who use our services.
During the Covid-19 pandemic and throughout our recovery, we have been forced to change rapidly to give patients the best care. Our determined staff continue to care compassionately for Cheshire’s residents whilst the NHS faces ongoing challenges, particularly with hospital handover delays.
Earlier this year, we launched a new strategy that outlined how, over the next three years, we will provide high-quality inclusive care, be a brilliant place to work for all, and work together with staff, patients and partners to build a better future. There is a clear commitment to revisit the basics, make improvements on the things that matter most to patients and staff, and balance getting the basics right with striving for excellence.
With this in mind, we are checking in with people in our communities to discuss how effectively we deliver our 999 and 111 services, ensuring we have the right resources in the right place at the right time, to perform to the high standards our patients expect.
The community conversation for people in Cheshire will take place on Tuesday 18 October 2022, 10am until 1pm at Northwich Memorial Court, Chesterway Northwich CW9 5QJ.
Who is it for? The event is for you if:
What to expect During the event, you will hear how we help thousands of patients who need urgent and emergency care every day and what to expect as the NHS heads into winter and beyond. You will help us to understand what’s important to people in your area by sharing your views and experiences in fun and interactive activities. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions to frontline staff and senior leaders.
Free lunch and refreshments will be provided for all guests.
After the event, we will collect and analyse all of the experiences shared and produce a report that will help to improve care for people in your community, just like you.
