18 - 22.5 hours per week, to be agreed with the successful candidate. This role will be on a Fixed Term Contract of 12 months with the view of it being extended if funding allows.

This role will be predominately covering the south/mid areas of the county and therefore due to the current group offering, the hours will be on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with some flexibility outside of group times. There is an expectation that all employees cover our monthly Family Sessions (first Saturday of each month) on a rota basis.

The role
• Co-deliver weekly peer support sessions alongside a fellow Wellbeing Practitioner /Group Facilitator and / or Volunteer.
• Provide empathetic, compassionate support for parents and their little ones in the room.
• Liaise with front-line clinicians and health care professionals to share information, accept referrals and signpost / accelerate support.
• Capture information upon registration as well as discreet collection of standardised and non-standardised scores from parents from registration, and throughout their journey.
• Capture and record data from all sessions for funding evaluation reports, within a timely manner that doesn’t exceed a week.
• Seek support from the safeguarding leads and act on duty of care according to Smile Group policies as appropriate.
• Deliver the 1-1 programme with successful referrals via Health Care Professionals (6-8 sessions delivered in parents’ home setting or local community, in line with the lone working and safeguarding policies.
• Attend team meetings to share information, provide full updates and learn from each other.
• Attend appropriate training to support development within the role, including MHFA (Mental Health First Aid), Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Domestic Violence and Abuse.
• Attend monthly group clinical supervision, as well as individual supervision in order to support your own wellbeing
• Supporting the initiatives of the charity including fundraising events, public appearances, educational talks etc in order to increase awareness of Smile Group amongst the community and beyond and even Nationally
• Promote Smile Group at any opportunity when dealing with third party steak holders
• Managing, liaising and coordinating the activities of counsellors and volunteers for the charity. This will include reporting on these activities
• Supporting the onboarding and induction of colleagues, counsellors and volunteers
• Any other ad hoc duties as reasonable requested by your manager to support the activities of the charity
