This free session is aimed at anyone who is considering becoming a Trustee for a charity or community group or new Trustees who would like to learn more. This session will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of a trustee of a small group or charity.

During this course you will have the opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to the organisation and the importance of the role in the governance of the charity.

 

Who's it for?

 

Anyone who is either new to being a trustee, thinking of becoming a trustee or would like to further update their knowledge about what trusteeship means.

 

Outcomes for Learners:

  • An overview of the responsibilities of a trustee
  • An opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to their organisation
  • The importance of their role in the governance of the organisation
  • An understanding of ways to develop their trustee board

 

The free session will be lead by a Development Officer at CVS Cheshire East and part of the Membership Services Team. One of the areas the team work in is to support organisations to develop strong and resilient leaders and governance.
