This virtual session is designed to ensure that the people involved with your organisation understand what safeguarding is and how to deal with any safeguarding issues.

Introduction to Trustee Roles and Responsibilities - Wednesday 3rd July, 1pm-3pm on Zoom  (tfaforms.com)
This virtual session provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of a trustee of a small group or charity. During this course you will have the opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to the organisation and the importance of the role in the governance of the charity.

Boundaries Training - Monday 8th July, 3pm-5pm on Zoom (tfaforms.com)
It is difficult for staff, and especially for volunteers to know what boundaries should exist between them and service users, and what to do if these are being broken. This training will look at how staff and volunteer maintain professional boundaries with service users and with each other.

Volunteers and the Law - Thursday 10th and 17th October, 10am-12pm on Zoom (tfaforms.com)
Do you know your legal responsibilities to your volunteers? This 2-part virtual course will help you understand legislation, volunteer agreements, how to avoid risk, and gain awareness of the common pitfalls facing volunteering for organisations.

Ideal for community and voluntary organisations who are new to applying for grant funding. This session will take you through the crucial steps you need to take to help you ensure your organisation has the best chance of success with your grant bids.

We at CVS provide a variety of expert-led training opportunities, from requisite or essential training for people working or volunteering in the sector to specialist training in fields like grant writing and trusteeship. We hold both in-person and virtual training sessions (details found in each training description). Session costs available on request, with a substantial discount for CVS members!

 VCFSE Essentials Course

Do your volunteers and staff have the essential training to work in the VCFSE sector? This private course will guide you through the basic training for working or volunteering in the sector and will enable your team to work compliantly. It is also useful refresher training.
